We suddenly decided to join my family in sendai for the new year. We may not have this kind of chance again for a while. Drove down from Ukisihma to Sendai for two hours on the motorway. (HK) |

| Thursday, 28th.December, "Start Working" |
| After all that Christmas feast and all snow has melt after raining all day yesterday, we at last started working again. We went to Kanazawa's factory to pick up Kate's stone, cut into small pieces few days ago with their truck. When I drove empty truck back to the factory I took my marble stone to get cut, for the bases for Sapporo piece in January. Mason did cut quickly for me but stone had deep scrutch on the polished side of both two pieces( from last year), so I had to leave them behind to get polished again. |

Sean is reading "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phenix", which he borrowed from his tacher before winter holliday. I read a bit and I was hooked. I started reading properly from two days ago and finished today! So interesting! Emily has "harry Poter and Half Blood Pronce" in english, I might start next one before the final book comes out! Philipine cooking class and christmas party of Iwate Town International Association. 70 participants and we had a louds of fun. I dressed Santa today. (HK) |

School Winter holliday started today. Sean went to bowling with his school friends. Mr.and Mrs.Sasaki came to visit studio to see how their commissioned sculpture is coming out(HK) |

| Thursday, 21st.December, "Tire" |
| I went to Morioka for the meeting at the Prefecture office. for that I had to chage winter tires of Toyota. But half way, I suddenly lost one of the front tire! I stopped my car and running to catch the alone going tire in front of me in the middle of the vrossing! Fortunately some people came to give me a hand. I manged to find lost nuts anddgot free nuts from the nearest petrol station and managed to attend the meeting and came home safely. I put my car into service tommorrow. (HK) |

Kate drove me to the eye doctor in Morioka. I got little stone jumped into my eye and bloosed. Nothing serious, but lots of chechs just in case. We went to many shops to find christmas presents for children last moment.(HK) |

| Elizabeth, previous art editor for ther Japan Times came to visit us in Ukishima. She didi not have much time so she took train back to Tokyo this afternoon. (HK) |

Cold air coming in. Feels real winter starting. I went to Registration office in Morioka again to get Association registered. But the guy at the office was not very easy to understand.(HK) |

I went to Morioka yesterday and today to registrarion office for Iwate town Internatinal Association, which became non profit making organisation last month. It si complicated to sort out papers for the registeration, but hopefully I get it next week done. I am very much looking forward to be back in the studio working. Funtastic night with almost full moon tonight.(HK) |

Meetings one after another with 4 or 5 staffs of Art Front Gallery in Daikanyama. We are now working on 6~7 projects with them and one man show in 2008 for Kate and me at their gallery. We went to Gallery Q to see mr.Ueda to discuss another small project of Kate, then walked to Gallery Shimon to see Shinji Sakai and his show opedned today. He was a the symposium with us in 2006. We gone back to Ukishima at 11 O'clock.(HK) |
