We scattered Ann's ashes over the hill with family members, as she wished. Kate and I went to see Edinburgh Steiner School. We arranged the interview tommorrow, and if everything goes well, Emily and Sean are goint to this school from Wednsday. We also stopped by at the Geoge Watson College just opposite side of the road to take a look for the future reference. これはケイト達が通った学校。本当はこっちにやりたかったが、短期は難しいと一度断られたのだが、将来もしかしたら行くかも知れないという事で見学にいった。アート・デパートメントに行くとケイトの恩師がまだ在籍していて、しばし歓談。夜は２人でエジンバラ・フェスティバルを観劇。フリンジの「Havana Rumba」を見た。さすがキューバ、サンバのリズムと超セクシー、強烈！(HK) |

Sir. Gerard Elliot wrote an obituary to Ann in SCOTSMAN newspaper. の掲載される。エジンバラ・フェスティバルにインターナショナル・ブックフェスティバルをメリーとゴードン達と一緒に見に行った。あとでアッセンブリーで働くオリバーのところにいったら、フリンジ、韓国の「Jump」がいいよと券をもらった。カンフーのパロディに大笑いし、素晴らしいダンスパフォーマンスで子どもたちも大喜び。ピザ食って帰る。(HK) |

| After overnight bus trip Sean and I arrived at the Narita Airport. Via London, through the heavy security checks, we eventualy arrived Edinburgh Airport at 11pm. Kate, Emily and Gordon came to fetch us. We are so exhousted after 50 hours trip from Ukishima. (HK) |

School reunion party of Sendai Daiichi High School in Sendai. About 700 people there. 仙台一高夏の恒例大納涼大会。仙台メトロで700人ほど参加。僕ら（２９回生たち11人）は各テーブルをまわって、光州一高に寄贈する私の作品の資金寄付集めに大忙し。久しぶりに早坂先生と会う。１０月に多都夫先生の回顧展をするらしい。写真は榊原氏とブラスバンドＯＢによるジャズメドレー演奏。彼らはパーティが終わってからも片づけ中の会場で楽しそうに演奏を続けていた。(HK) |

Sean is doing biological research at the local pond in Ukishima. 夏休みもあとわずか。潮音の宿題も追い上げ。私も自分お仕事そっちのけでまずは潮音の自由研究のお手伝いで、近所の沼にプランクトンの採集に行った。ここは白鳥も来る、サギやカモもいる。生物の宝庫。プランクトンも大量に採取成功。しかしプランクトンは動きが早すぎたため、顕微鏡写真に撮れず、動かない植物に急遽、研究変更。(HK) |

| We had a massive clean up of toys today. ここ数日、家の中を大片づけして、要らないおもちゃの処分をした。その際見つけた潮音のカード。きょうは潮音と２人で盛岡のリサイクルショップへ、潮音の買い貯めたそのカードを売りに行く。百枚近くあったのだが、全部で結局5円！ゲーム機や他のものとあわせて100円だった。購入価格は何万円だが、現状の価値判断としては妥当な線かも知れない。買ってもらえるだけ良いかもと２人で納得。私は去年公会堂で使ったアンプを一台（購入価格1,000円）出したら、600円もらう。悪くないよな。次は何を売ろう？(HK) |

| Emily and Kate left to Edinburgh. 私は二日酔いの頭を抱えて２人を成田まで送った。朝、電車に乗る直前、突然の土砂降り。みんなずぶ濡れになってしまったが、一時間もしたらまるで嘘のように晴れてしまった。私は見送ったあと、その足でまっすぐ潮音の待つ仙台へ。仙台は七夕真っ盛り。しばらくは浮島でのんびり潮音と２人きりだ。(HK) |

Back in hot Tokyo. 再び、暑い東京へ。池袋アートフェスティバルの搬出作業。きょうはエミリが手伝ってくれた。夜はフェスティバル・ボランティアの人たちとの打ち上げパーティ。40人ほど若い人たちが期間中手伝ってくれた。若い人たちと一緒にいるとこっちも若返る気分。さすが東京、田舎じゃボランティア、こんなに集まらない。(HK) |

4th Iwate Town International Festival. 岩手町国際交流協会主催「国際交流フェスティバル」も今回で４回目を迎える。今年は協会のNPO法人化を設立総会で新たに決定、出直す。パーティは、今年から大変手間のかかる焼き肉をやめて、石神の丘のレストランに頼む。それにあまりアトラクションもなく、私のiPodのBGMでただおしゃべりだけだったが結構楽しかった。これで私の今年の夏の行事は一段落。ほっと一息。仕事に打ち込めるかな。(HK) |

Look at Emily's new hair style! kate has bought a new cell phone .I also biught new one for greek trip, but it was useless, luckily. I could not get on line. Yesterday, after meeting at Spin-Off in Ebisu, We drove back to meet up with Sean and Emily at my parents' house in Sendai. Today I changed into new tires and got children hair cut, then went to watch the movie, "Pirates of Caribian-Dead man's Chest". This is Emily's new T-shirt, she bought at the cinema! We straight gone back home , on the way we picked up Bobby from Iwate Animal Hospital. Now we are together again at home!(HK) |
