Sunday, 30th April, "Letters"

Emily is helping me with preparing for sandblasting to cut letters of poem on the stone at Kanazawa's factory. She is good at fine job. Now she is old enough to help our work.(HK)

Saturday, 29th April, "Urawa Bridge"

Here is nothing but new roads and bridges around in Urawa newtown right next to the Urawa Football Stadium 2002, where Kate is making a bridge stone for one of the beautifully designed bridges.(HK)

Friday, 28th April, "Ikebukuro"

This is the first executive meeting of the organising committee of Tokyo Ikebukuro International Art Festival 2006, which will take place in July. (HK)

Thursday, 27th April, "Minamisuna"

Came down to Tokyo again for a several meetings. Before the one at Toyosu, I had a bit of time to go and see the previous project completed in Minamisuna housing scheme (see photo). Met up with my old school friend, Kazuo Sasaki, at cozy small japanese bar in IIdabashi to have drink together in the evening until midnight.(HK)

Wednesday, 26th April, "Polishimg Disk"

Almost completed polishing or it is just wet. (HK)

Sunday, 23rd April, "Art Station"

Came down to Tokyo specialy to have meeting of Ikebukuro project this summer with Kamikado and Adam from Grizedale art. Looking around the possible project sites in town and discussing about the stage settings for the show. Went back to Ukishima same day. (HK)

Saturday, 22nd April, "Open School"

	Kate is still in Tokyo, so I went to Primary Scchool alone for Seans classroom, which I was too late to see sport activities. I remembered the wrong time. He was upset that I could not see him playing sport.(HK)
	Johnny and Bacon for a walk.

Friday, 21st April, "Queen's Birthday"

Kate went to the Queen's birthday party at British Embassy in Tokyo.(HK)

Cartier Collection Exhibition at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. (HK)

Wednesday, 19th April, "Inspection"

Base stone being inspected by the Takuboku commissioners, Prof.Yuza, Kanazawa, Wakamatsu and representativ from Morioka Daishi High School graduates. (HK)

Sunday, 16th April, "Easter Sunday"

Rosemary came to joined our Easter party. Making cakes and rolling(?) Eggs. (HK)

Monday, 14th April, "Hammering Stone"

Wednesday, 12th April, "Volunteers"

Soon after we saw off Dietrichs car's gone, a tourist bus came into Ukishima, which was full of local touristic volunteer guide people. We show them our new studio building.(HK)

Tuesday, 11th April, "International Couples"

Mr. and Mrs. Dietrich came and stayed in Ukishima. We had a good time drinking nice wines and talking all night about international marriage and educational situations. (HK)

Saturday, 8th April, "Desk"

Sudden snow falls made everywhere white for a short time in spring day. It melted so quickly.

Emily's room is guest room. We put guests into her room always. She was hesitated to decorate her room own style yet. But for her study, sharing space in the office with everybodyis getting too much to concentrate, so we decided to move her desk into her own room and made her room for her self now. She was very happy putting up her favourite animal pictures all over the wall, and reorganise furniture to make it personal.(HK)
