I thought I am 48 today, but Kate told me that I am 47 yet today....(HK)
First snow on top of the Mt.Iwate.
Sunday, 23th October, "Museum Trip"
In Towa town there are 120 artists works, everywhere in shops or street, living room of somebody's house. This is "art@tsuchizawa"~ Open Town street Museum project. I was with othr 5people from friends of Ishigami no Oka Museum in Iwate town. The curator of Yorozu Museum in Towa town took us around in cold rain. Momose, Mouryou, kazue, Sugimoto, and many friends' works. (HK)
Saturday, 22nd October, "Primary School Festival"
Ukishima Primary School's culture festival day. 24 pupils are singing and acting in various drams and concerts, as well as Ukishima kenbai. (HK)
Sunday, 16th October, "English Test"
Childrens' English is not much improving since we did not go to Scotland so often anymore. So, we thought Eiken(English Ability Test) might be agood idea to give them a good reason tostudy english at home by themselves. Emily tried the 2nd grade and Sean did 4th in Morioka.(HK)
Saturday, 15th October, "Hockey Tournament"
Sean's Iwate town hockey tournament day. My mother went back to Sendai today after took this photograph with Sean before Kate's sculpture at hockey ground. (HK)
Wednsday, 12th October, "Last day in New York"
First we had breakfast with Elenore and then she took us to MOMA , jumping over the long cue of people in the poring rain waiting outside to get in, with her magic membership card. For 4 hours long we were never get bored - I was not certainly, looking around Pollock, Kandinsky, Gorky and all other my hero, whoes works I saw in the foreign art magazines on the shelves at my teacher's office when I was a art student just starting my study. Yes, American Abstract Expressionism has got me deeply inside of me since then. (HK)
Yoshio Taniguchi designed this supurb new MOMA architecture. After good look around here we went to the Japan Society to see the "History Of History" exhibition by Hiroshi Sugimoto.
At evening we had drink and supper together with Clare and Phillip. She is the art critic from Scotland, who mentioned my name first time in Scotland on the newspaper, when I got Latimer prize at Royal Scotish Society annual show someetimes in 80's.(HK)
Tuesday, 11th October, "New York, New York!~day2"
Guggenheim Museum was still under renovation, But great "Rossia!" exhibition was on, inwhich I found funtastic Repins and Kramskoy's "Unknown Woman".(HK)
Suddenly just at the closing time, tables are laid for the private party, which looks amazing.
Monday, 10th October, "New York, New York!"
Departing with new friends. We flew into New York and settled down in Verna's apartment. Just went out to see Jazz in the night.(HK)
Kate in wheelchair at the airport. It looksed painfull,but certainly made going through customs much easier...(HK)

outside around the building, there are many different kind of craft specialists showing their skills.(HK)
Friday, 7th October, "Stone Work Symposium"
We are invited to the "Stone Work Symposium 2005" to give a talk at Ohio university canvas near Pittsburgh in USA. (HK)
Many interesting speakers, such as stone mason, landscape architect, accademic reseacher, and sculptors.
Thursday, 6th October, "Wheeling"
Kate and me landed on a hotel in the town called Wheeling, via Chicago and Pittburgh in USA.This is my first trip to USA! Such a excitement to see this new land after many trips around Europe. Unfortunately Kate has cracked toe just before flight, we just have to take easy to go around, but going through customs are never so easy following her sheelchair at every airports. (HK)
