Thursday, 19th May, "In Sendai"
Sendai Mediateque(photo). I came to discuss about the show in June. And took fresh printed leaflets to Director of the Miyagi Museum, teachers at 2 Art schools in town, prefecture office, city office and Sendai Daiichi High School.(HK)
Tuesday, 17th May, "Students"
First discussion of Kate's Maze project for the Kokaido Art Show in summer in Morioka. Prof.Nagai brought 3 architecture students who are really keen to work with artist.(HK)
Friday 13th May, "Ikkatai Junior High School Sports Day"
Emily's School's Sport Festival today. If it was on the weekend, many people should be coming to seee their children doing all sorts of things. We had 12parent all together today. But children did well. (HK)
Thursday 12th May, "Factory"
Kate is working at Kanazawa's factory, using all possible maschinaries. (HK)
Tuesday 12th May, "Printed"
Just finished designing the leaflet for the show in Sendai," Pictures from Song Sook-Nam and Sculptures from Kate Thomson". Everything is done by phone and internet. Cheap and fast. (HK)
Sunday 8th May, "Ukishima Drawing School"
We started drawing class in Ukishima for our very talented daughter. She really enjoyed Chacoal drawings. (HK)
Thursday 5th May, "Koinobori-The Boy's Day"
Ann sent us her KOINOBORI from Edinburgh in order to save it from the risk of distruction by her grand children in Scotland. We made a new stainless steel pole from drying colths.(HK)
Sean, the operater enjoying himself to help setting my piece in front garden. For him it was just like another toy!!!(HK)
Tuesday 3rd May, "Setting Fountain"
Mr. and Mrs Sasaki looks happy with my new piece?! We had nice celebrating party in the evening in his house.(HK)
Monday 2nd May, "Under Construction"
For setting my piece tommorrow, I glued the pin to secure the top piece.(HK)
Sunday, 1st May, "kendo Tournament in Kuji"
We started at 5 O'clock and arrived in Miyako where tournament is held. From Iwate town we send 3 teams. Sean was in with the little ones, they lost their game in 3second each, but Sean fought more than 10 second! Anyway, it was beautiful seaside city. (HK)
