Kate said her computor monitor died! So I had to find something for that. I bought for her a EIZO FlexScan L567R on the net which I always wanted for me. She was very pleased with her new screen, but old one suddenly started working again. I connected it to my old PM8500 and now is working as Sean's game machine...(HK) |

朝から客が絶えず、10年ぶりの友人知人が訪れる。前田さんは院生5人とやってきたし、奥野姉妹や登坂さんの奥さん、千石さん、松田君に金森などもやってきた。おかげで食事する暇なかったので、夜は小島さんたちと恵比寿で中華。帰りに恵比寿ガーデンプレイスでやっている「ボテロ展」を見ながら帰る。(HK) |

子どもたちをまたアンちゃんに頼んで、ケイトと二人で朝から東京の展覧会の会場に出かける。今日は尊敬する大先輩の針生一郎氏が訪れる。隣のブルーポイントで2時間近く話し込んだ。80才も近いのに眼光鋭く、しかしこぼれるような笑顔がすてきな人だ。夜、今日オープンした本田君の個展を見に神宮前へ。夫妻と会う。(HK) |

| 完全な二日酔い。朝7時半の飛行機に乗り込み、ソウル経由で仙台空港に到着。迎えに来られた仙台一高の吉田先生に報告するレストランであんみつを食べ、やっと復活。公平と一緒に父に送ってもらい長命に帰る。夕方、税理士と昨年度の決算の打合せをしたあと（また赤字だ）、新幹線で浮島に帰った。(HK) |

| 運動会とはいえ、朝9時から夜6時まで2000人以上の同窓生が総参加する今日の大イベント。校庭に各学年ごとテントを張り焼き肉に酒、まるで花見のようだ。同窓会の結束は恐ろしく強い。しかも同窓会役員は大企業の役員のような風格さえ伺わせる。夕方6時から同窓会役員たちと会食。そこで盛り上がったまま、カラオケになだれ込み、さらに朝まで大騒ぎだった。(HK) |

「忠孝と実力」をモットーとする光州一高。あのキム・デジュン元大統領もここの卒業生らしい。現職国会議員が15人、アメリカのメジャーリーグに3人送り込んでいる。 |

礼節の國、韓国。朝9時、後ろに見える独立運動記念碑にまずお参り、ステージでは功労者の表彰など式典の数々で午前中が終わる。左から4人が仙台一高訪問団。 |

光州一高52回同窓生たち。
彼らが仙台市に働きかけ、仙台一高同年齢の29回生の我々との交流を求めたのが、同窓会全体との交流のきっかけとなった。 |

同級生の公平君と私。昼食は近くのレストランで52回生の恩師を囲む昼食会に参加する。どこに行っても熱烈な大歓迎。 |

これが韓国名物「爆弾酒」。ビールの中にウィスキーのショットグラスを入れ、一気飲み。危ないが実においしい！！ |
| 仙台一高からおまえのモニュメントを寄贈する、とにかく場所を見に行こうという公平の話に、今回初めて韓国に行った。お互いの友好の印に、独立運動記念碑よりも大きなモノを作って欲しい、という光州側の要請。独立運動記念碑は高さ約10mもある。 光州事件、抗日運動、韓国の対権力独立運動を先頭に立って引っ張ってきた名門光州一高。アジアのリーダーシップを担うのだという気迫に満ちている。戦いの凄惨な歴史を越えてこそ平和な現在の我々があるという彼らの自覚の強靱さにも深く感銘した。彼らに生やさしいモノは必要ない。大きさはともあれ、これは大変難しい、しかし恐ろしくやりがいのある仕事になるだろう。再来年の光州ビエンナーレに出品する形で考えている。(HK) |

| 二日酔いのまま、這って羽田空港へ。仙台一高の同窓会の交流団として総4名で、午後１時30分発の便でソウル、光州へと向かう。明日は同窓会の運動会があるのだそうだ。5時半に光州空港に着き、6時から前夜祭パーティ。光州一高の同窓生500名ほど集まった会場でさっそく歓迎の花束を受け取り、大歓迎される。市内のカラオケから光州大学のゲストルームに落ち着き、以前来日したミョンさんキムさん公平と4人で3時まで仙台での思い出話を肴に飲む。(HK) |

Slept well. After back to TRY and checked the displays, went to "Tokyu Hands" in Shibuya to find lightings for Kate. this place is the Disneyland for the Sculptors!!! So many things. Akso went to Deluxe to copy 160 images for the opening night slide show at "Super Deluxe". Chitwan and Gagan invited us to the nice indian dinner with their friends.(HK) |
