Local Dancing Festival held at Iwate Numakunai Station building. Emily's school participated and danced. (HK)

Saturday 29th November, "Grand opening day "
At last Art Road project unvailed to public completed. We feel so happy and releafed after all jobs done.(HK)

Saturday 29th November, "Emily's Birthday Party"
Flow back from the opening of the project, Kate prepared Emily's birthday party at home in the afternoon. 16 kids are invited and came for fun.(HK)

Friday 28th November,
Art Road again. But this must be almost the end. We set up the benches I designed and title plates for the pocket parks. Tomorrow is the grand opening day!(HK)
Thursday 27th November,
Emily's birthday today. We celebrated her 11th birthday between family. Planned to have friend's party on Saturday. She loves her new jumper from Ann-chan and trousers from Sheena.(HK)

Cat and mouse. Bobby's enjoying playing with his temporary friend.(HK)

Clean up working site with more and more grables.(HK)
Monday 24th November,
We went to Morioka to see "Spykids 3D"at the cinema. This is 3D film you must look at screen with blue/red glasses on. great fun! (HK)

Kate made a carrot cake for Sunday aftrnoon tea. (HK)
Landscaping site today for new grass coming tomorow.
Friday 21st November,
Setting wings today and the Art Road Project is now almost completed!!(HK)
Setting wing pieces to their own positions carefully.
Kate is doing a shape correction.
koke is putting "Cinnamon" onto base.
We have celebrated the completion of the project without missing anyboby of teamunder the stone. Sushi, Sake and Karaoke until morning!! (HK)

Akechi's rabbit.

Wedensday 19th November,
We completed the main piller. 8m high and weigh 40 tons. (HK)
Stainless steel pins against japanese earthquakes.
Tuessday 18th November,
Kanno is fixing the pins to the sculptures upside down.(HK)

Drilling for the pins.
Thursday 13th November,
First dayof setting sculptures.(HK)
Foundation stone for the piller has setnow, which has all members' name caaaaaarved for underground side of the expensive Swedish black granite piece. After 6000 years someboby will excavate the monument and find it difficult to read my terrible writing.(HK)

Wedensday 12th November,
I'm giving a little introdustions and the explanation of the project to 24 students from Ukishima Primary School, who came to see the project under progress.
So many kids everywhere...

Mashita and Tamaki are drilling 50mm diameter 50cm deep pin holes. Can you see Kanno also sitting behind them to check if they are drilling straight.

My mother made sordfish hambergers for supper tonight, which is very popular dish around seaside town where we came from. It took her a whole day to cook all 40 fishes Kazue sent from fish market.

He had too much noodles for lunch?! No, He is concentrating to cut perfect delicate waves.
koke decided to polish by hand not by mashine, because of its better finish.
First piece for the pillar arrived with perfectly pollished surfce in the factory. This swedish black granite is the dream stone for the sculptor.
Wings are nowready to get shaped to fly.
Wild life observatations.
Akechi spends more time these days to stand back and check what he is doing. Emily is saying behind him, "Akechi, you look like also a SCULPTURE!"
