| Friday 30th May, "Rented kate Sculptue to Iwate Bank In Numakunai" |

The nice bank manager of the Iwate Bank in Numakunai branch asked us to borrow any one of our sculptures availble to display during summer, contributing to 30th anniversary of iwate Symposium. He said that they have not got any fund for that but very much want to do it. Anyway, Kate rented her sculpture for free. (HK) |

| At 6:24 PM, we had rather large earthquake in Iwate. Earthquake here in Japan is not too surprising, because we had small and middle one almost every month, but this time was big! Sendai was quite damaged by this. (HK) |

Out from the chilly cave of Ryusendo, Emily and Sean thought ice cream is the best lunch. |
| The last day of 'Golden Week'. We decided to go driving to the sea side. Visited the world deepest and clearest water of the under ground lake in Ryusendo. 98m meter deep! |

| This is not the end of the story today. We race back to Morioka Metropolitan Hotel for the opening party of Chikako's new tea shop in town. She invited all friends to show her shop before open to public and we were goint to have dinner together at the hotel. It took us much longer than I thought, something like 2hours not 1 hour. Also we realised that we had to go somewhere to find new trousers and socks for Emily because they were wet now. So we were late(again). But we managed paraschute into the middle of dinner party among all friends and had very good time! (HK) |

Kodomo-no-Mori is open today specially to Iwate town local people. They are having grand opening tomorrow. We met up with Kikuchi's family and Ms. Tamura, who used to be a kindergarten head mistress for Sean. Spwnt all day there playing.(HK) |
