- TRACES
http://www.traces.ws/
Sclupture Symposium, and art projects throughout the world, this is an excellent site to find discussions forums, news, links, artists port folios information , and contact details, and information on art suppliers, symposia, etc. . Set up and run by our friends Sue Nees in America, and Koike in Japan. who have done a fantastic job of using the internet for what it is good at - practical and informative networking of information.
- DELUXE - Mark Dytham and Astrid Klein
http://www.klein-dytham.com/index.html
Klein Dytham Architects share their Delux office with an inspiring collection of interior designers, graphic designers, and composers.
This is one of the coolest sites I have come across to check out the latest trends in Tokyo culture as well as keeping up to date on 2 very talented young architects who are beginning to get the world recognition they deserve.
- RampantScotland.com
http://www.RampantScotland.com/arts.htm
Rampant Scotland is an amazing source of information on all things Scottish, with an excellent page on arts and culture references , contacts and links
- Hisashi Momose
An amazing painter and printmaker, if you ever get a chance to see his work on exhibition do.
Momose was one of the 4 artists working on the Koiwai Land Art project as part of the Iwate Art Festival UK98 which we organised, he also had an exhibition at the Edinburgh Printmakers last year.
- Ice Hotel
Having being accused of providing similar accomodation in Iwate we are intrigued to explore the realisation of a wonderfully insane idea.
- HIsashi Roppongi's Fishing page (only Japanese)
Roppongi of Wakamatsu/Roppongi Architects would rather advertise his passion for fishing than the fact that he is an excellent architect, he is also a lovely person so if you are interested in fishing look him up.
- Land Art in Koiwai(only Japanese)
This project was a part of the Iwate Art Festival UK98 and was hugely successful thanks to the enthusiasm of the Koiwai staff and of the 2 British and 2 Japanese artists .
- Richard Murphy Architects
A very exciting Edinburgh based architect , we invited him to Japan for a lecture tour in 1999 . The desired result was achieved - he has won the commission for a new gallery, and road station complex in Iwate Town, Japan, working in collaboration with Wakamatsu/Roppongi Architects in Morioka City.
- Thunderbirds(only Japanese)
Kata`s and Sean`s favourate web site.
- Andy Stenhouse
Another great guy and good friend. A fun artist, more computer literate than ourselves.
